The reason I chose to do this sketch as a candy cane was because, at the time, it was Christmas. I had done and re-done several different sketches. I believe that this came out bad, just because I didn't really have much time to complete it, and working with colored pencils is relatively new to me.
I had, like many other past projects, many rather unnecessary and unneeded issues that went along with this project. Firstly, I had used watercolor paper instead of regular paper, resulting in the coloring being messed up. I went through far too many pieces of paper trying to redo drawings, and I just ended up with the above picture that I am highly dissatisfied with.
I am not very happy at all with this project, as stated above. I feel that I could have done far better with this. I haven't done much with paper-pencil lately, as I have been doing much more with my computer drawing tablet, which has a much different feel and "pen" glide to it. Also, the coloring with this is terrible. I haven't done much with shading, or colored pencils in general. So, this is my result, that overall sadly repulses me.
